Stress-Busters for Your Body

There are only a few laws of nature.  When you live in harmony with them, your life becomes manageable.

Your body needs 6 simple things
to withstand daily stress and stay well.  Just implementing one action a day will help you regain control and feel less stressed.

Air - Take a deep breath.  Let it out with a sigh and let your shoulders drop.  This brings more oxygen into your brain & cells so you can think clearly.  If you are in an office all day... go out and get some fresh air.
Water - Drink a glass of pure water.  Replace one (or more) of the other beverages you drink with water each week.  Within a couple of weeks you will find your body start to prefer and crave water. 
Food - Eat raw, organic fruits and vegetables. Reduce or eliminate processed, microwaved foods and sugar (especially sugar substitutes).  Just a small change in this area can create huge benefits in reducing stress and increasing energy.
Movement - Stretch and move a few minutes each hour, especially if you sit at a desk or computer most of the day.  Set a reminder on your computer or cell phone.
Rest - Sleep and/or meditation is essential to renew your body and mind.  Suggestions: Listen to the "Relaxing Your Body & Mind" guided meditation before bed (free on pg. 2 of 34 Instant Stress-Busters); Turn off the TV! Your unconscious mind is still listening!
Sun - Get 10-15 minutes of sun a day.  Second best... take Vitamin D supplements. 

By taking any action to reduce the physical toll stress takes on your body, you are putting yourself back in control of the one thing over which you have total jurisdiction... Yourself.  This alone will reduce your stress!
