De-Stress Tips & News

So, what happened to your New Year's Resolutions?

If you are like most people, they have long gone to the wayside by now.  Why is that?  You had every good intention of making a change.  You felt the commitment in your will....

Yet, here you are in February living the same pattern of habits you had last year.  This can leave you feeling quite frustrated, powerless & out of control. 
                        No Control = Stress! 

The most powerful Stress-Buster of all Choosing.  You're already choosing everything you do in your life.   When you don't take credit for that, it feels like you have no control at all.

How can you reconnect with your power to choose?  Here are two tips...

1)  Don't blame your current choices on things outside your control.  As you know, if you have been in one of my workshops or read the book, you have no control over time, nature & other people

Instead of saying: "I can't exercise because the weather is too cold & rainy."  Say, "Because the weather doesn't suit me to walk outside, I'm choosing to stay in and watch a movie."  Instead of saying, "I can't get a job because the economy is bad." decide, "I'm going to lay in bed & wait for a job to fall in my lap." 

Can you see how stress just falls away as soon as you make a choice?  I chose these silly sounding scenarios because it's feeling the lack of control in  simple little situations that becomes a "hard to break" stressful habit.  

2) Identify the Unconscious Choices that stop you. Do you know what current choices are stopping you from getting what you want?  These questions can help: "Whats the down-side of getting what I want?" whether it is weight loss, not smoking, a relationship, a new career.... and "What is the up-side of not changing?"  These are paradoxical questions that help your mind reveal the unconscious factors that may be keeping you stuck.

What do you do when you realize these unconscous barriers?  Tip 21 ~ Tap on It!  EFT is by far the simplest & most effective way to release the blocks to changing your life... and, free your power of choice!
